We have finalized dates for the end-of-season tournaments.
These dates were chosen based on the Poll sent out before the Labor Day break and the estimated number of days it would take us to complete the tournament. We understand that some of you may be disappointed with these dates, but we cannot accommodate all the Fall Breaks that occur in October. We have to go with the Majority rule, and these dates reflect that.
The final dates for the tournaments will be:
Volleyball - October 4th Softball - October 4th - 11th Baseball - October 4th - 11th, 12thif necessary Flag Football - October 4th - 11th, 12thif necessary
We have a few notes on the tournament:
1) Please only opt in to the tournament if your team would be able to play all listed days. a)For Flag Football, Baseball, and Softball: If a team is available on the 4th/5th but is out on the 11/12th weekend, the team may opt to play the first game of the tournament under forfeit conditions. The team will play one game, and the opponent will advance to the next game regardless of the result.This allows a team that is available on the first weekend a chance to play one more game and maintains the integrity of the tournament by not allowing teams to knock teams out that would otherwise be able to complete the tournament.
2) We will not take any schedule requests for the tournament. We have a ton of games that need to be played in a specific order on a tight timeline. We cannot accommodate requests on top of that.
3) We will do our best to avoid conflicts for players playing multiple WNSL sports, but as we get closer to the end of the tournaments, we cannot guarantee that there will be no conflicts.
4) No player may play on two teams in the tournament, regardless of division.
5) Only players on the roster may play, and all players must be in matching shirts. If a team plays an ineligible player, that team will be removed from the tournament immediately.
Coaches are being sent a poll to opt In/Out of the tournament. Please make sure your coach has seen this poll and submits a response by tomorrow, 9/18 at 5pm.
We are doing our best to accommodate as many teams as possible during a difficult travel season. At this point, the only teams who would not get a game are teams that are completely unavailable on the weekend of the 4th/5th. Hopefully that is not very many of you and all teams are able to play at least one more game this October.
